Referrals 

Referrals are accepted via Medical Objects, Phone and Fax.

Dr Siän Dines takes self referrals from individuals and couples directly. Dr Dines also accepts referrals from GP's and Specialists, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Psychiatrists, Paediatricians and other Health Professionals, Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), Workcover (QLD & NSW), Victims Assist, Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP).

About Dr Sian Dines

Dr Siän Dines is a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA). This registration ensures that Dr Sian Dines operates to professional, ethical and accredited practices.

Dr Siän Dines has been a member of the Australian Psychological Society for over 25 years.  She is a Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists. All APS members are required to abide by principles of professional conduct, responsibilities and confidentiality.  

Mental Health Care Plans

Being registered with AHPRA entitles Dr Siän Dines to provide services under Better Access to Mental Health Outcomes (Provider 4115297X). Under this initiative, clients are able to ask their GP for a referral to Dr Sian Dines via a Mental Health Care Plan to receive CBT, psychotherapy and evidence based treatments for conditions such as Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Adjustment Issues and major Mental Illness. A Mental Health Care Plan acknowledges a mental health condition that impacts upon a person's emotions, thoughts, behaviours, social skills or decision making.

A Mental Health Care Plan entitles clients who are referred to the Clinical Psychologist a rebate of approximately 70% of the session fee (low income discounts and bulk bill available).  In consultation with your GP your Mental Health Care Plan can include up to 10 (6+4)  individual sessions in a single calendar year and 10 small group sessions.

Fee

Accounts are to be settled on the day. Medicare can be rebated at the time of consultation via your Eftpos card which is linked to your Medicare account, or online if your bank details are registered with Medicare.   Fees are assessed on personal circumstances and treatment provided after discussion with Dr Sian Dines.  For those utilising a Mental Heath Care Plan a gap payment is required.

Private Referral

Dr Siän Dines sees clients privately for supervision, mentoring, coaching and private psychology sessions : no referral is required.

Private Health Fund

Prior to attending your first appointment it is recommended that you check the eligibility for psychology services with your provider.  Inner Wisdom Psychology utilises HICAPS, where the Private Health Fund refund can be rebated at the time of settling the account.  

A Mental Health Care Plan rebate and Private Health Insurance cannot be used for the same appointment.

Chronic Disease Management Initiative

People living with a chronic and/or complex medical condition or disability may be eligible to access the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Medicare items : formerly known as as Enhanced Primary Care (EPC). A Medicare rebate for up to five consultations with your allied health specialists may be available in any calendar year. A referral by the GP providing  management under a GP Management Plan and Team Care Arrangements is required.

Helping Children with Autism

Children may be referred from a Pediatrician or Psychiatrist for further treatment with Government support. Direct appointments without Government subsidy are available at any time.

Cancellations

Inner Wisdom Psychology services and clients value respect and responsibility.  This is a private practice, not a Community Health Centre and as such is not supported by Government funding.  At least 2 business days notice is required before changing or cancelling an appointment. This is imperative when considering cancelling appointments - please be aware that other clients are waiting to utilise that appointment.
